Two months old can be a tough age to photograph, but this baby boy and his Mommy were so sweet, the session just breezed by!  I really enjoyed getting know them both and I’m looking forward to meeting the big brothers in December

It’s the busy season and it has caused me to be a little absent from blogging (mea culpa!).  I have had so many wonderful sessions over the last couple of weeks, I’ll try my best to get caught up in the next couple of days.  I have a few days “off”  before another very busy week and weekend of shooting, and I promise to use the time paying attention to my neglected blog 

As a reminder, weekends are now fully booked through the first weekend in December.  I have a few sessions in November available on weekday evenings (M-F) and I have several sessions left on MWF mornings at the studio.  If you are wanting to schedule a session, call or drop me an email, I don’t want anyone left out!

Okay, getting back on track — take a look at this most-fun-ever session I shot a couple of weeks ago with the adorable baby boy *k* and his two big brothers.  Check out *k*, rocking the bright blanket and his gorgeous blue eyes:

And I couldn’t leave out the big brothers, I had to come up with something fun for them…

Meet sweet baby girl *k* — she and her Mommy made the drive down from Arlington for me to photograph her and I was so happy they did.  It took a bit for us to get *k* in a deep sleep (about an hour and a half), but once she was out, we were able to really have some fun with posing.  I had a hard time picking favorites (I think I say that a lot with newborn sessions!), but hey, can you blame me? 

So perfect… when you see them like this, you realize what an incredible gift they are:

Thanks Mom *K* and baby girl *k* for making the trip down to see me.  She is just beautiful and I’m so happy to have captured these first few days for you.  Gallery coming in a few days!

Maternity sessions are a personal favorite of mine and I’m so loving the fact that I’ve shot two of them in the month of January!  This particular mom-to-be was especially fun to shoot — not only is she amazingly cute/pretty/adorable, she has become a personal friend over the last couple of years.  I just adore the entire family and can’t wait to welcome baby #2 in March.

We started out with a few shots of Mom and Dad together…except I should tell you that Dad is a pretty funny guy and the whole “I have to be serious/romantic about my wife’s belly” thing really got to him.  And when it got to him… it got to her… which then had me laughing too… and this is what we started with:

But, we finally managed to get it together and we got this:

Then, we decided to incorporate the future big brother into the mix for a few shots with Mom.  I love, love, love these and my hand is a bit tired from patting myself on the back so hard about them:

Finally, this last shot came as we were literally walking out of the studio.  I love it right down to the smooshed noses Mom and Dad have from kissing those little cheeks so hard.  This sweet family of three will soon become four, so it was only fitting to capture them as they are now:
