Spring has sprung and I have been busy!  So many beautiful sessions to blog, but I will start with this one 

I am so lucky to have the most fabulous clients, who not only have beautiful children, but provide me with the most amazing places to shoot!  Case in point, this beautiful field of yellow “flowers”.  I say “flowers” loosely since I suppose that they are technically weeds, but I just have a hard time calling anything so bright and colorful a negative word, like “weed”.  It just doesn’t seem right.  And since it’s my blog, I’ll call them flowers, um-kay? 

Thanks to the beautiful *a* children and their lovely Mommy, who were in from the Dallas area visiting family.  Lovely children, lovely location… doesn’t get much better than that!

I’m trying to play catch up on blogging (I think that is the story of my life!)    I have had some great sessions so far in January (maternity and newborn, some of my favorites!), but wanted to blog this particular session that was pre-Christmas.  I love how warm and fun the images are, and of course, I love how Mom coordinated everyone (my clients are always so gifted at putting great looks together).  Have a peek at the *g* family:

Wow, it has been a whirlwind last couple of months!  I have been fortunate to shoot some amazing sessions, at some amazing locations.  I am so lucky to have such beautiful clients (inside and out) and I thank each one of you for bringing your precious children to see me.  I know how much work and planning goes into your session and I am always flattered when I see the bags of clothes that were brought along for me to go through, hats that were purchased (my clients know what I like!), bright scarves, fuzzy coats, etc.  I thank you all for making me look so good and making my “job” (can I really call it that?) so easy.

Anyway, I’m finally catching up and able to start sharing some of the many sessions I have shot over the last couple of months.  This one was actually shot before Thanksgiving, and it features two little boys that I just love to bits and pieces.  I started photographing big brother when he was about 6 months old and I so enjoy watching him grow and change.  He has such a fun spirit, full of expressions and laughs.  Little brother is gentle and sweet, easy to cuddle, and always content to watch big brother’s antics with wide-eyed wonder.  I loved the colors in this session, it was a very cloudy day, but we managed to get such rich colors, and lots of warmth.  Have a peek:

I love these beautiful girls, I have had the chance to photograph them before and they never disappoint!  I was thrilled their Mom drove from Kansas to have me photograph them, the location, props, and clothing were simply perfect.  Add all of that together and it was a recipe for beautiful imagery!

Looking at the images from this recent session makes me realize that the holiday season is fast approaching!  The gorgeous fall colors, the holiday wardrobe… get ready, it won’t be long now!  And finally, two days into November, we have some fall weather here in east Texas.  I have several sessions scheduled for the upcoming week and this weekend, and the cooler temperatures that are in the forecast are making this photographer *very* happy!  I think it puts everyone in a more festive (and fun!) mood and I’m super excited about it.

So, enough about the weather, let’s get back to my session    I’ve been shooting these two siblings for several years now and I am amazed at how quickly they are growing up.  We had quite a few laughs during this session, some singing of Justin Bieber (yes, I know the words to most of his songs… and?!), a little baseball, and at the end, some jumping on the bed (the kids, not me).  Have a peek:

It ended up being so appropriate that we chose the Rose Garden for a quick session for this cutie-pie.  Not only was she as pretty as a rose, her middle name *is* Rose, so that just kind of pulled it all together   She was such a willing subject, happy to be in front of the camera, and loved exploring her surroundings.  As a child photographer, that isn’t always my scenario and though I love a challenge, it’s nice to be spoiled once in a while, ha!
