Have I mentioned before that I love my “job”?  Nothing makes me happier than showing up for a session at a sublime location, with an adorably cute (and sweet!) little family and fabulous, golden light, just waiting to be captured.  That was totally the scenario with the *L* family – Mom, Dad, two year old *z* and 5 week old baby girl *a*.  I had such a good time getting to know them while we were shooting, I felt like I had known them forever.  And honestly, trying to narrow down my favorites from this session was like trying to choose my favorite child.  Impossible!  I loved them all for different reasons 

I have to start out by introducing little *z*.  Insert happy sigh here.  She is the tiniest, cutest little thing, who happened to be wearing this perfect little dress that had a slightly vintage feel to it (l.o.v.e.).  She has big, brown, melt-your-heart  eyes, and the best thing?  The fact that she wanted to hold my hand when we would walk from place to place during the session.  Insert another happy sigh here…

Next, some family time… the expressions, the light, the cute factor.  Oh my goodness, I was in photographer sensory overload and shooting as fast as my little finger would let me…

After a great hospital session, the *G* family came back to see me for a one month visit.  As usual, I had such a great time during our session.  We were able to catch up on how things were in “newborn land” and there is never a shortage of laughs.  In fact, one of these days, I need to do an “outtake” blog post on the *G* family.  Sometimes I end up with some really funny expressions…

Anyway, I thought I would do something different and let baby *G* just hang out.  Sometimes, we work so hard getting the newborns all curled or placed in a basket (which I love and is always beautiful), that we miss some of who they really are.  Those adorable expressions and funny faces are a glimmer of a real little person, albeit a small, wrinkled one!  So, we just laid him down and I simply shot.

And here you have it, the many (and very cute!) faces of baby *G* :

*K* is such a good Mommy.  She’s the type who is always perfectly prepared with snacks, toys, wipes, lots of patience and fun activities.  I hope I captured what a warm and loving Mom she truly is:

And of course we photographed the whole family.  There were so many relaxed and fun shots, I had a hard time choosing.  But something about the happiness in this one tugs at my heart:

More catching up and more cuteness.  Meet baby *B* who recently turned one.  She came for the session with her Gram, who happens to be my sister-in-law.  That would make baby *B* my great niece, I think?

*B* is such a happy baby, very busy (she kept us moving!), and happens to have one of my favorite things: baby chub.  And you know I love me a chubby baby!  Anyway, Gram has been having fun shopping for a little girl (like me, she is the mom of two boys) so we had no shortage of pink, frills or big bows.

We started out with “baby legs”, which I talked about in my last blog post, and a diaper cover so cute, I almost couldn’t stand it:

Trying to catch up on blogging, so I’ll start with a fun session last week with baby *P*, who is turning one.  Already!  It just seems like yesterday, I photographed her as a newborn (you can find it here).  She has grown up to be such a cutie, with beautiful big brown eyes and looong lashes that photograph beautifully.  Mom came in for the session with a suitcase full of fun clothes — I love, love, love when that happens.  I am never short on inspiration with that scenario – it’s kind of like Christmas morning for me!

We started with an adorable pair of “baby legs”.  Whoever invented these little things, I have something to say.  I love your product based on the sole fact that they look extremely cute in every image I take of a child wearing them.  I don’t know if they really keep little legs warm.  I don’t know if they really protect their knees when crawling.  I just know they are really, really cute.  Proof:

Next, a tutu — who doesn’t love that?!?

Then, two good things happened.  First, the dress.  Bought on Etsy, awesome colors, super cute (good job Mom).  The little red shoes were icing on the cake.  Second, even though it was cold, we went outside!  Hello outdoors.  I’m so happy to be among you and photographing children once again.  I have missed you.

I am loving this blog share, it’s full of images that tug at my heart.  Not only because the images are fun, candid and full of baby love, but mostly because they are of two people I think are super sweet.

Kayleigh has been a source of help for me over the last several years, as I have navigated through a crazy-busy time in my own life.  Juggling two little boys who are less than two years apart, a husband who at times has to work long hours, three large dogs, a household, a growing business… it gets a little crazy around here at times!  I know many of you reading this can relate…

I have been so grateful to have someone I can trust with my boys, who even helps with the dogs, sometimes surprises me with an unloaded dishwasher, and more than anything, doesn’t look at me like I’m crazy as I rush around the mornings she is here, simultaneously doing three or four things at a time!  She just steps in, in her quiet way, and starts doing what needs to be done.

And now she has her own little baby boy!  Who has chubby cheeks, an adorable bald head and big blue eyes.  Now, he comes over too.  And let me tell you, my own two boys think this is the greatest thing EVER.  Now they have someone new to show off for, act silly for and to love on.  Poor baby O, he often gets petted at our house.  I have to remind the boys he isn’t a puppy, he’s a baby – but hey, it’s all in the name of love, so whatever works.

Anyway, enough babbling — here are a few of my favorite images from our recent session at the studio:

Had the pleasure of photographing six week old Luca at the studio a few days ago.  He came with his own adoring paparazzi that included Mom, Dad, and his sweet grandmother who has been in the States for a visit since his birth.  The paparazzi even brought a video camera to capture his first official “shoot”.  Six weeks old and he’s already working the rock star status!  Way to go, Luca!

Check out his big, brown eyes and of course, even a yawn gets a reaction (can you blame them, how cute is his yawn?!)

I think if Dad could sop Luca up with a biscuit, he probably would.  He’s a teeny-tiny bit crazy about his baby boy… don’t you think?

And finally, a few shots with Mom… I think she’s a little enamored with Luca too.  The shot on the left… um, hello, how fair is it to look that stunning SIX WEEKS after giving birth?  Not that I’m jealous at all.  Nope, not me.  So incredibly *not* jealous!  Really!
