I was out of the studio one day last week to photograph a hospital session for the *G* family. For those of you who don’t know what a hospital session is, it’s pretty much what the name implies (go figure!). I actually come to the hospital a day or two after baby is born and document baby’s first few days of life in the hospital. In fact, it’s very ‘documentary’ in approach. I prefer mostly black and white images and they are not as “pristine” as you may get in a typical session with me. I really, really enjoy doing hospital sessions — there is something about going back to basics, just capturing the event as it unfolds that I truly enjoy. Plus, I always get to hold a brand new baby, just days old, and that’s a HUGE job perk for me!
So, let me introduce baby Graham. He is such a sweet baby boy, with a little tuft of light brown hair and already loves being held. I think he looks a little bit like big brother (who I have photographed many times) and I look forward to watching little brother grow up to see if that holds true. That aspect is yet another fun job perk for me… I love watching “my” kiddos grow!
First, I had to photograph the cute little favors Mom had for visitors, such a cute idea (and they were yummy too. Not that I ate any):

Baby Graham in the hospital bassinet:

A few shots with Mom & Dad:

A few with just Dad (I love the little hand on face!):

Now a few with Mom, a warning, they are super sweet <sigh>:

Of course it wouldn’t be any kind of newborn session without a few precious details. New eyelashes and new toes. Deliciously cute:

Finally, a shot of big brother and Mom admiring baby Graham:

Congratulations *G* family, see you soon!
More newborn images to come later this week of a pretty baby girl who’s Mom can be found here . Stay tuned!
Until next time,
Tammy
